Located on the Register of Historic Structures, the wood framed buildings on the campground are in excess of 100 years old and have been in continuous service.

J. V. Henik was retained by the Board of Directors to structurally investigate the buildings and develop repair documents for their maintenance. FEMA approval required for permitting.

The structures are located in the Des Plaines flood plain and are supported on wood timber piles foundation system.
